APi Math was founded by two educators and mothers with a passion for helping students succeed. We believe that all students should have access to affordable quality math instruction that meets them at their level and gives them the confidence to excel. We offer rigorous instruction, a focus on developing number sense and problem-solving skills, and the opportunity to learn with highly qualified instructors. Zoey
Zoey is a credentialed elementary school teacher and teacher librarian with eight years of classroom experience in LA Unified schools. She has her BA from the University of Southern California, an MA in Elementary Education from Loyola Marymount University, and her Masters in Library and Information Science from San Jose State. She has also trained in Cognitively Guided Instruction with the UCLA Mathematics Project. She has a passion for helping students discover their inner mathematician!
Veronica
Veronica grew up in Nanjing, China, and studied abroad at National Taiwan Normal University and UC Santa Barbara. She has her MA in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, and got a certificate of Entrepreneurship Essentials at Harvard Business School. She has taught Chinese in California since 2010. She is the founder of the Leap Dragon Academy language center and is excited to focus her talents on teaching math with APi. Her goal is to create the best learning materials and foster learning in a social environment where students can have fun while growing academically.
